Erasmus+ Period: from March to May 2025
Participating in the Erasmus program in Sofia, Bulgaria (from March to May 2025, Contract №: 2022-1-BG01-KA171-HED-000074631), was a transformative experience that expanded both my academic knowledge and personal growth. As a public health student, I had the opportunity to study in a multicultural environment at a well-established institution, where I explored diverse approaches to health systems, epidemiology, and prevention
Living in Sofia allowed me to engage with students and professionals from various backgrounds, enhancing my understanding of how cultural and social factors influence health policies. The city itself, rich in history and vibrant in everyday life, provided the perfect backdrop for both study and exploration. I participated in workshops, seminars, and group projects that helped me develop practical skills and broaden my global perspective on public health challenges.
Outside the classroom, I discovered the warmth of Bulgarian hospitality and made lasting friendships. From trying traditional food to hiking in the Vitosha Mountains, every experience enriched my time abroad.
This Erasmus exchange not only deepened my academic interests but also improved my communication, adaptability, and intercultural competence—skills essential for a career in public health. I returned home more confident, inspired, and committed to contributing meaningfully to global health initiatives.
